Fast Food: Culver's

Another fast food chain I need to try!

Have you tried Culver's?

Their menu online actually has a really great resource for quickly looking up nutritional value of their items. Love this for us!

Does eating out and ordering have you in a freak-out mode, it's because you do not have the knowledge behind what food does for the body.

Instead of guessing what you should eat, it's time to take the time to learn how food fuels you and how eating out does not need to derail your progress.

How long are you going to keep hoping you are making the right choice and start knowing with confidence you're making the right choice?

If you're ready to become super duper confident- get that app in and let's do this thing already!

Have an amazing week and we'll chat soon!

Fast Food: Smoothie King

If you’ve been following me on Instagram for some time, you know I’ve been sharing my favorite Fast Food orders with those that follow me, but I didn’t want to leave you out!

Let’s start off with Smoothie King!

If you haven't already, you can save the information on Instagram, here, for easy reference!

Smoothies can be a great on-the-go meal for a lot of people. In fact, several of my clients do smoothies in order to get their greens and fruit allotment in for the day.

Smoothie King has some great options, but when researching for this post I was shocked how many were marketed as "lean" or "Slim-N-Trim" that had close to 100 carbs in one 20 ounce drink! For most of my clients, this would take up a huge chunk of their daily carb allotment.

Just because a food item has lower calories, does not mean it's the better option.

A smoothie with as many carbs as that fourth option has with little-to-no protein will leave you super hungry shortly after consuming, which could lead to over-consuming calories for the day.

This is a big reason why my clients do not count calories, but they learn the value of food and how it helps them reach their goals.

This is just a warning to always look at the nutrition labels to see where the calories are coming from and not be influenced by what marketing catch words are being used.😏

Did you find this helpful? I would love to hear from you.

Until next time!

MY FAVORITE (AFFORDABLE) GYM WEAR

Even if we’re stuck in our houses to workout, we might as well FEEL good doing it!

I know for myself, if I feel good in my outfit I tend to want to workout and push myself a little harder than if I feel slouchy.

However, looking cute does NOT mean I’m constantly breaking the bank. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good pair of Lululemon Fast and Free leggings or Scuba Hoodie, but at over $100 a pop… that’s not happening all the time.

I don’t know what you’re talking about…

You’ve probably seen blogs about “best Lululemon dupes” and upon receiving them feeling extremely disappointed in the quality and durability. And, let’s not forget them NOT being squat-proof! *gasp*

Enter CRZ Yoga for the win!

I found CRZ Yoga through one of the instagram fashion bloggers. She raved about them and I knew she was a hard core Lululemon lover, so I had to give them a try!

From the first time I pulled them out of the package I was impressed. Then, after wearing them around the gym and doing several workouts with my trusty squat-proof checker, Andrea, I was sold.

The CRZ part (see what I did there) about CRZ Yoga pants is they’re ALL under $30!! So, literally no guilt in buying a couple pairs. They’re constantly coming out with new patterns and pieces. They recently launched a dupe for my beloved Scuba Hoodie and although not *perfect*, it’s a solid match and for the fraction of the cost.

Here are some of my favorite pieces from their collection and yes, they fit TTS:

When it comes to quality I’m usually of the mindset “you get what you pay for”, but when it comes to CRZ Yoga, you get high quality for a great price.

Some of the things that make this brand stand out is their quality stitching, fabric, and compression. CRZ Yoga fabric (a mix of elastane and Spandex) is highly comparable to the fabric used in my more expensive leggings (which is usually Lycra, a type of Spandex).  When I took them out of the package, I was instantly impressed with how well-made they were.

The compression of the Lululemon Fast and Free leggings is by far my favorite, so I was very skeptical that anything could compare. However, as I wore the CRZ Yoga High Waisted Yoga Pant with Pockets Naked Feeling Workout Leggings 25-inches I was more and more impressed with the quality and they actually stayed up better than my Fast and Free leggings! The Lululemon Wunder Under’s are a big favorite among Lululemon lovers and I believe the CRZ Yoga Naked Feeling High Waist Tight Yoga Pant Workout Pant 25” is practically identical in feel and quality, but both of these CRZ Yoga pants are a fraction of the cost.

The secret is out- you CAN get Lululemon quality and feel for a fraction of the cost!
